I recently tried this restaurant and overall had a really good experience. The food is flavorful and well-prepared. The stir-fried lamb with onions and sesame was rich and savory with a nice balance of spices, while the cauliflower stir-fry had a great texture and a pleasant kick from the dried chilies. The lamb skewers were another highlight – tender, well-seasoned, and packed with that smoky grilled flavor. Portions are generous, so you definitely get a satisfying meal. The service was attentive and friendly, making the dining experience smooth and enjoyable. The only downside is that the prices are on the higher side, but considering the quality, portion sizes, and good service, it feels worth it.

tried this place for the first time and i was pleasantly surprised. the prices are reasonable, and what differentiates this place from other skewer places is that there is more flavour and the meat is softer and more tender. i came here with my friend for a quick snack so we didn’t order much, but the lamb skewers had really good flavour and the garlic scallop vermicelli was also good. for the skewers i like how we can choose from a few spice levels, where other places usually only have mild. the scallop was cooked perfectly as it was still tender and juicy. comparable to ten miles bbq in scarborough, although ten miles is cheaper by like $3 for everything, miss qu is better in terms of flavour and service. the waitress was so attentive and always took away garbage the moment she saw anything. highly recommend to satisfy your skewer cravings

Ordered their Mapo Tofu and Saliva Chicken. They are generous with the portion. The Mapo Tofu is Meh and doesn’t have too much flavour to it. The Saliva Chicken tastes great and the chilli oil is amazing and very fragrant. Highly recommend the Saliva Chicken.

Hanachan (Hanavava)

Update: I recently visited this restaurant and did a Google review in exchange for a complimentary dish. The menu listed it as Pig Ear, but the server told us they had sold out and would give us Máo dù (毛肚) instead. I clearly told her that we don’t eat beef, and she assured me that Máo dù is pork — so I thought maybe I had misunderstood the term in Mandarin. Since we were in a rush, we asked to have it packed to go. Later, I found out Máo dù is actually beef tripe! We can’t eat beef due to religious reasons, and wasting food goes against our culture too. This situation really put me in a difficult position — either go against my beliefs or waste food. Please, seriously make sure your staff understand what food they’re serving to customers. I wasn’t even speaking in English — I was communicating in their own language — so there’s really no excuse for such a misunderstanding. ****************************************** The food here was amazing! We tried several different types of skewers, and everything was delicious. I really love the seasoning — it’s full of flavor but not too strong or spicy, so you can still enjoy the taste of the ingredients themselves. Service was excellent too! The servers were friendly and attentive, and I thought it was adorable that everyone wore a little plush on their hat — such a cute and iconic touch that makes them instantly recognizable. The atmosphere was also great. I really liked the wooden and bamboo decor, which gives the place an ancient Chinese vibe. The seats were quite comfortable (not too soft) and the tables were spacious enough for all our food. I honestly really like this place — no wonder there’s always a line-up! The only small thing I hope they can improve is the birthday special. It’s a bit inconvenient that the promotion only applies on the exact birthday date, whereas some restaurants allow it within a birthday week. It’s not always easy to gather friends to celebrate on the exact day.

Consistent with other location (Scarborough) we’ve tried. Every dish we tried was jampacked with flavour. Love how you can choose your spice level for each dish. Food was served decently quickly. Service was great and ambiance was great. Cool decor and seating was comfortable and spacious. Worth a try if you’re in the area and looking for good Chinese skewers!
